As NCDOT’s Fall Litter Sweep comes to a close, the Towns of Carrboro and Chapel Hill invite residents to join the Towns’ staff for a litter clean up on September 24th from 9am-12pm. Volunteers will clean up two sites along NC-54, one on the Carrboro side and one on the Chapel Hill side. The Chapel Hill group will meet at 8:30AM at the overflow parking lot at The Exchange at Meadowmont (1414 Raleigh Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27517) and the Carrboro group will meet at 8:30Am at 602 Jones Ferry Rd, Carrboro, NC 27510

Staff will provide gloves, trash bags, trash grabbers, first-aid kits, and a water bottle refill station. Bring yourself, closed-toed shoes, and a water bottle. Waterproof boots, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts are recommended since litter cleanups can be messy.

To sign up, fill out the sign-up sheet. Waivers will be completed at the event Saturday morning.
